As the snow (finally) melted, it was once again time for our HirePower consultants to gather for our Spring Offsite Meeting. This year, the event was held at the Halton Region Museum, a great venue. The day began with team building exercises based on “Minute To Win It” games led by the Halton Region Museum staff. What a riot. Everyone was thoroughly energized afterwards and ready for some great learning opportunities.
The day’s agenda included a business update from Meryl and a look at Future Recruitment
Trends led by Natalie which sparked a lot of conversation. One of our onsite consulting teams delivered a great update on their successes with our Client over the past year. Scherri relayed some of our new technology for an extremely high-volume Client RPO project . Marnie introduced the team to some of the concepts by Glen Cathey, a LinkedIn expert. We recommend you view this video to push your mind to think a little differently about LinkedIn searches.
As is customary, we enjoyed visits from our employees currently on maternity leave (and their babies!) over lunch. Following lunch, we were introduced to our H.O.P.E team (HirePower’s Outreach Program for Everyone). The team discussed the community events planned for the year ahead, as well as soliciting volunteers for their first event scheduled for April 23rd. (The offsite itself generated 140 lbs in food donations brought by our consultants).
The H.O.P.E team successfully completed their first event on April 23rd with the Daily Bread food bank. We had an excellent turnout with the team sorting an astonishing 2990 lbs of food. To put that into perspective that will feed 199 people. Thanks you so much to everyone who donated food and their time at the event!
